Private Site Homepages PDF Print E-mail
Small business card holders should be able to view a clear snapshot of their account status from the private site homepage, including their balance and card payment information. In this edition of Small Business Card Monitor’s Featured Topic, we analyze the information provided by our eight SBCM firms on the private site homepages.

The private site homepage is the perfect place for clients to view their account standing, as well as to access other private site areas, such as card pay and recent activity sections. This Small Business Card Monitor Featured Topic focuses on similar aspects of importance on the private site homepages, such as:
  • Account Data Points
  • Payment Information
  • Personal Information
Six of the SBCM firms allow clients to view this information on the private site homepage. The most popular data points are Outstanding Balance and Minimum Payment information. Of these six firms, four of them also allow clients to view their rewards information, such as rewards balance. With personal information, only five firms provide the client’s name and company name on the homepage. Lastly, all the SBCM firms provide clients with their last login information as a security measure.

Another aspect of the private site homepage we took into account was ad placements and quicklinks. We noticed three firms designate one place for promotional ads, while the other firms placed ads on various parts of the page. All the ads promoted a firm’s product or service. One SBCM firm even listed its social media sites at the bottom, allowing clients to follow them.
